I was born in Temple, Texas, to parents who immigrated from the Philippines. My father enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Hood (now Fort Cavazos), Texas. After his service, he worked for the United States Postal Service (USPS). My mother dedicated over 30 years of her career as a registered nurse at a local hospital.

I excelled academically, graduating from St. Mary’s School in Temple, Texas, as a top student, and then as salutatorian from Academy High School in Little River-Academy, Texas. In May 2000, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication with a minor in French from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.

From August 2000 to August 2001, I served as a Volunteer in Educational and Social Services (V.E.S.S.) with YMCA International Services in Houston, Texas. Following this, I pursued legal studies at South Texas College of Law (now South Texas College of Law Houston) and graduated in May 2005.

I was admitted and licensed as an Attorney and Counselor at Law to practice in all Courts of the State of Texas on November 7, 2008. Upon licensure, I managed court appointments in child support and other family law cases on a contract basis in Houston. From 2010 to 2012, I gained valuable courtroom experience at a well-regarded criminal defense firm in Houston, focusing on Class C misdemeanor cases.

Since April 2012, my office has been located in the Gulfton area of Southwest Houston, where I handle immigration, criminal, and family law cases.
